The National Orthopaedic Medicine Center recently established the 5G+ Orthopaedic Robot Alliance. 27 hospitals across the country joined the first batch, and will jointly promote the construction of medical robots combined with remote diagnosis and treatment network platform, develop and explore orthopaedic robot remote surgery mode, and improve the overall quality of orthopaedic surgery in China.
Jiang Xieyuan, director of the National Orthopaedic Medicine Center and president of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, introduced that as the national orthopaedic medicine center, Jishuitan Hospital takes the lead in the international research on the clinical application of orthopaedic robots, is committed to popularizing orthopaedic robot surgery technology, and promotes the application and development of "Internet +" in the medical and health field. The establishment of 5G+ Orthopedic Robot Alliance aims to improve the quality and efficiency of surgery and reduce medical costs through the development and exploration of orthopedic robot remote surgery modes; Improve the level of orthopedic surgery treatment in primary medical institutions and realize the balanced allocation of medical resources; Construct a complete orthopedic surgery robot industry innovation ecology; To promote the national level of orthopedic medical homogenization.
The first group of alliance members includes 27 hospitals across the country, including Wuhan Sixth Hospital, Lhasa People's Hospital and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital. Jiang Xieduan said that Jishuitan Hospital will take the alliance as the carrier, actively play the leading role of the national orthopaedic center, build a common development system with various hospitals, promote the implementation of remote diagnosis and treatment in various alliance units, improve the overall quality of orthopaedic surgery in China, and better serve patients.
